Third Place is a non-profit organization in Akron area that offers urban youth and families the opportunity to form healthy support systems and break cycles of abuse, poverty, and hopelessness by intentionally investing in their holistic success. We believe everyone needs a Place where they can be safe, known, and free.

Our Services
The services we provide at Third Place offer the youth of Cleveland an opportunity to be safe, known, and free. We will be able to expand services in time with increased funding and a consistent volunteer team, but for now, our services will include the following:
Third Place Drive
Did you know that learning how to drive costs about $300-$400 in the state of Ohio? Acquiring a valid drivers license is a privilege not available to many in the city, but it would open doors of mobility, transportation, and careers where driving is required.
Third Place Foster
Our foster care system is in crisis. There are more foster kids that need placement than there are families and homes willing to house them. Maybe you’re not in a position to foster a child, but what if you could still tangibly help one child?
Third Place Coach
This is a one-on-one mentoring encounter. We all need a support system, someone to come alongside and walk through life with us. Coaching will be tailored to individual needs and will also include help defining dreams and reaching goals.

This has been God's vision from the start. He brought the neighborhood kids to our home and slowly etched their stories, pain, and need onto our heart. Please pray that God will continue to provide and that He will be glorified as we stand in the gap for these kids and the community.

Our Family
Hi! We're the Roberts family: the faces behind the Place. We didn't choose this vision so much as it was handed to us by God. Or rather, it showed up in our yard, knocked on our door, plopped down on our couch, and gathered around our kitchen table. All we did was open our doors, our refrigerator, and our arms, and slowly, God carved out a huge space in our hearts for the youth of this city.
